Good on you Rick. Also Cliff Mitchell#87 captures "Rookie of the Year" as well as 5th place in the IMCA. Congrads Cliff. Don #20 also did well for his first year racing stocks taking home "most sportsman ship". In the 2009 season we could see one the team racing a Modified.hint:(87)
With the 2009 race season just around the corner the Red Rabbit race team is getting ready for a busy season. There will be no racing in Calgary but the boys are scheduled for 9 races in Medicine Hat this year with the regular races in Lethbridge. As we mentioned the team has purchased a modified race car and hope to run in a few races this year for practice. Watch for photos of the new car coming soon.
Good luck in 2009 to the RRR team.
The first race of 2009 for the boys was rained out, but we had a good showing in Medicine hat last weekend. We didnt win but finishing the race with no major repairs is ok for the first race. Rick will be running 2 seperate vehicles this season, one for the dirt and one for the asphalt. As far as car 20 and 28 go they wont be running this season. It will be Ricks dirt car #66.
Cliff will also be running 2 vehicles as well, but 2 different classes stocks and mods. Sunday after Medicine Hat we travelled to Lethbridge for a Modified race and Cliff finished in 3RD congrats cliff.
Rick ended up doing pretty good most of the season but ended up placing third overall.
November took the race team to LAS VEGASfor the "Duel in the Desert" with Rick placing 10th out of 20 car feild.
Maybe next year they will take MODIFIED but with a field of over 200 cars, she's a busy couple of days.
